What actually fires, and when

Pick how a record was touched, the UI, a CSV import, a web service, another script, and watch which scripts fire, in order, and which are silently skipped.

Where this comes from

The trigger rules
Oracle documents which entry points fire beforeLoad, beforeSubmit and afterSubmit, and states plainly that user event scripts cannot be triggered by other user event scripts.
Context values
The strings shown are what runtime.executionContext actually returns, so you can branch on them directly.
Execution order
Where several user event scripts sit on one record, the order is set on the Scripted Records page, not by deployment ID.
What is not modelled
Bundle and SDF installation, webstore checkout, and the plug-in contexts each behave slightly differently again. Check your own account before relying on an edge case.

The behaviour here is stable and documented, but it does shift at the margins between releases. Treat the eight scenarios as the shape of the thing, and verify anything load-bearing with a log line in your own account.

The same thing, on your dashboard

Deployed, this stops being a page you visit. It becomes a portlet on the dashboard the people who need it already open every morning, reading your real records instead of numbers you type, next to the KPIs and lists they are already looking at. The amber portlet below is the only part of this screen that is ours.

Illustrative layout, and deliberately not a copy of any vendor's interface, no borrowed logo, wordmark or colour identity. The real thing inherits whatever theme, tabs and role permissions your account already uses, so on your screen it will wear your colours rather than ours.
